1935 Spain 10 Pesetas F+ – Banco de España Silver Certificate
1935 Spain 10 Pesetas issue is a Certificado de Plata (Silver Certificate) released by the Banco de España during a turbulent period in Spanish history preceding the Civil War. Issued under the Emisión 1935, this note was legally redeemable for silver and represents one of the last silver-backed Spanish paper currency issues.
The obverse features a crowned female allegorical figure symbolizing Spain, surrounded by intricate multicolor geometric guilloché patterns and formal typography stating “Diez Pesetas de Curso Legal.” The reverse showcases a bold and elegant blue intaglio design with elaborate rosette work and symmetrical engraving centered on the denomination, reflecting the high-security printing standards of Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co.
