CA$65.00

1915 Mexico – Chihuahua El Estado de Chihuahua 20 Pesos banknote is an authentic Revolutionary-era issue produced during the Mexican Revolution, when regional governments issued emergency paper money to support local economies.

The obverse features dual oval portraits flanking the bold denomination “Veinte Pesos,” with ornate engraving, original signatures, and serial numbers printed in red. Issued under the authority of the Estado de Chihuahua, this note reflects the political and financial instability of Mexico in the mid-1910s.

The reverse displays an elegant architectural vignette of a government building in Chihuahua, framed by allegorical figures and intricate scrollwork. A circular treasury seal and series markings add further historical and numismatic interest.

Notes from the Chihuahua revolutionary series are highly collectible for their bold designs, limited issue periods, and direct connection to one of the most important chapters in Mexican history. This example presents very well for its age and is an excellent addition to any Mexican Revolution, World Banknote, or Latin American currency collection.
